The infection has begun

The infection is starting to overrun in every part of the world. Everyone is running around trying to find a safe location for this mayhem. Stores are being robbed, streets are going bare, army is killing on sight, and walkers are beginning to rise. No one knows how this started, but there is no cure. The only way to stop these walkers is to aim for their brain. The only thing that is going on in a living individual's mind is survival. Reports on the news have been issuing a mandatory evacuation out of the city. Sadly, this isn't going to stop the chaos happening especially with the traffic jam happening on the highway.

As the night sky arose,Cassy has been in her condo watching the news as she leaned forward on the couch paying close attention before the signal was cut off. She glanced through the window as her eyebrows furrowed. Suddenly, she began to hear screams outside of her door in hallway. Quickly, she stood up and searched around for her gun trying not to the distracted from the noises coming from outside of her doorway. Although she never knew how to use a gun, it was a matter of protection. Reaching for it, she held it firmly in her hands before all she hear was silence making her gently thrust the gun on the side of her shorts. Slowly, she crept quietly to the door and touched the door knob hesitantly. Her other hand gently reached up for the lock and quietly unlocked the door. Turning the door knob, she slightly opened the door having a small gap but big enough to see across the hallway. Her eyes widened seeing the dead bodies on the floor as if a wild animal had ripped open the limbs of them. She widened the gap and peeked her head through hearing nothing but silence. She knew she had to go through the dead bodies quickly before they would turn into walkers themselves. Stepping out into the hallway, she glanced at both directions before quickly rushing to the elevator. Pressing the button for the elevator, she realized that the elevator might not be a good idea to use while the mayhem is going on. Hearing the elevator ring as it reached her level, she jumped and ran towards the stairs. She stumbled as she ran downstairs making her way to the lobby. She opened the door with an exit sign on it and walked out cautiously seeing she was in a dark alley. She began to walk towards the street lights in the end of the alleyway. Seeing all the chaos happening, she stayed in the shadows before hearing a loud breathing noise coming from behind her making her assume it was a walker. Her body froze for a second before running into the streets where she immediately regretted it. Huge groups of walkers were scattered attacking anyone on sight. "Fuck." She panted and rushed to the side of a tower. She clung onto a ladder located on the side of the building and began to climb up. Feeling a hand grabbing a hold on her ankle, a yelp escaped from the back of her throat as she looked down seeing the walker having a grasp on it. She closed her eyes tightly as she tried to wriggle her foot out before growing frustrated and kicking the walker's face numerous of times. As her foot finally slipped out, she climbed higher and grasp the sides of the ladder tightly as she rested her forehead on a step, breathing heavily. She slowly shook her head seeing no way out of this for her or anyone at that.

In search for his brother, who was once again serving time, he left his motorcycle just right outside of the city seeing the streets were filled with chaos. Still, he didn't want to go anywhere without his brother. Having his crossbow across one shoulder, he walked into the city quietly as he tried to stay as quiet as possible knowing walkers were usually attracted to sound. Taking off his crossbow from his shoulders, he held it firmly in his hands as he raised his weapon in case a walker attacked. Glancing up at the buidlings every so often, he tried to look for the one that he knew his brother was in as he ran. He flinched hearing a noise of a small groan and aimed his weapon for that walker. "You ugly skank." He mumbled under his breath with a grimace shooting the arrow straight towards the brain. Once the walker fell, rushed to it and grabbed a hold of his arrow before pulling it out quickly.Rushing away, he turned in one corner before quickly stopping. A huge group of walker automatically turned their heads. He quickly ran the opposite direction as he looked around before glancing up at the buildings knowing the only possible safe place would be ontop of the towers. He turned back seeing the group of walkers still after him before looking at an alleyway. He quickly crept towards it and closed the gate before wrapping the chains that were on the floor around it so it would stay closed while it would give him a chance to go up.

After news had spread of the infection, the electricity had been cut; providing much of a disadvantage to most people. Dean grabbed Krista's hand, who was starting to panic. Merely hours beforehand they had found their mother dead in their own home at the hands of Walkers, so they were both pretty shaken up, as most people were. He had parked his impala a few blocks away, praying to God that no one would steal her, in hopes that they would be able to find some more food and water. They both held a tight grip onto their guns, making sure not to fire, seeing as the Walkers seemed to be attracted to noise; and their weapons weren't exactly the quietest. Dean looked up, seeing a large tower. "There" he nodded and pointed up, Krista following his points and gaze. They quietly crept in the shadows, making progress before a walker spotted them. It groaned and rushed towards them, Krista yelped slightly and Dean covered her mouth before pulling her hand and running towards the tower. He rushed to an alleyway, seeing that the gate had been chain locked. "Fuck!" he yelled and picked Krista up, pushing her upwards so she could climb over the gate. "Hurry up!" he growled before jumping up, a walker narrowly missing his leg. His body hit the cement on the other side of the fence and he groaned slightly. Krista helped him up before they hurried into the towers and made their way up, not knowing any other place to go.

A loud scream filled the air. Josh whirled around to see a young girl about fifteen laying on the ground while five other walkers devoured her. Josh held up his gun about to shoot at them, when he realized it would do nothing. If he did successfully kill off the walkers, the girl would too eventually turn into one and the loud noise would attract more walkers to where he was. He put the gun back into the front of his jeans and ran behind the nearest building to avoid being caught.

Josh had been hiding in the city for two days now, unable to escape the walkers and unable to befriend anyone for more than an hour until they too became one of them. He sighed and leaned up against the wall. He took out the backpack he had with him filled with bullets, food, water, clothing, and knives. He took out a water bottle and chugged it down quickly.

Before he could even screw the cap back on, he felt a walker's hand on his shoulder. He nearly choked on the water while turning around. "Damn," he cursed, while taking the shoulders of the walker and slamming its head onto the wall. He pushed it back down to the ground and continuously beat it with his foot before it stopped moving.

Josh sighed and looked up to see a man about his age climbing up a tower. "Hey," he shouted, although the man was to far away to here him. Josh started running towards him. By the time he reached the ladder, the man had already climbed to the top. Josh swung his backpack around and started to follow the man.

Aladdin had watched in horror, on the roof of a petrol station, as Walkers slowly devoured the cities population. He held his head in his hands, trying to pull himself together. He didn't want to end up like one of them. Or dead for that matter.

Slowly sliding down one of the poles, holding up the verandah, Aladdin put his backpack on properly and hurried down the quieter streets. He poked his head out, seeing a group of Walkers and a few people running towards the towers. He looked over, seeing some jumping fences and others climbing ladders. If he could just make it past the group of Walkers. He didn't have any weapons on him, other than his hands, so it wouldn't be of use if he tried attacking them.

He ran to the opposite side of the alleyway and jumped out, "hey!" he shouted at the group of Walkers. All of them lifted their heads and looked over before chasing after him. He ran down the alley, as fast as he could manage, before racing towards the towers, seeing that the path had been cleared by his diversion. His legs began to tire, but he carried on, too frightened to stop. He spotted two men climbing the ladder, both reaching the top by the time Aladdin reached the bottom. He climbed up quickly, kicking a Walker in the face before it had a chance to bite down on his leg. He continued to climb quickly before reaching the top. He collapsed onto the roof and took in deep breaths before standing up, raising his fists protectively.

When she took her short break, she continued to climb up before her hand almost slipped making her hold in a yelp. She shook the thought away and quickly sighed of relief when she made it to the top. She threw herself to the floor on her hands and knees while she tried to catch her breath. She balled her hand up into a fist and punched the floor as she shook her head hating the fact of the dead rising. Getting up, she glanced around seeing the top looked a bit bare. When she walked to the edge of the tower, she looked down and flinched seeing a figure climbing the ladder. Rushing on the opposite end, she looked up at the sky and rubbed her forehead. "Fuck..they know how to climb now?" She mumbled with a panic in her voice tone. She reached for her gun and hid behind what appears to be a small greenhouse,getting her firearm ready.

Dodging a few Walkers in the building, they continued to climb upwards, using the stairs rather than the elevators. They found a door leading to the roof, but it was locked. "Damn it" Dean growled and shouldered the door, trying to open it. "Hey!" Krista banged on the door, hoping someone would hear them. Dean moved her away from the door, "are you crazy?" he looked at her in bewilderment. "If the Walkers hear you, we're dead" he frowned at her before kicking the door, making it budge open a little, but there appeared to be a chain attached outside, locking it. Krista poked her head in between the gap, but couldn't fit her body through. "I can't fit" she cried, "can someone help?!" she shouted, moving her arm through the gap to fiddle with the chain as Dean looked around for something to open the door.

He continued to climb up and finally reached the top as he looked around for a moment trying to hear for a walker if there was one. He kept his weapon raised and inspected the area for a moment before looking at the small greenhouse. His eyes narrowed noticing that something moved around there. He quietly made his way around and shot his arrow as he flinched noticing it was another individual. "Come on! A little warnin next time." He mumbled but kept his weapon raised.As he looked at her for any bit marks, hearing someone else coming up the steps, he changed his aim towards the ladder. Then he turned his head seeing a girl trying to make her way through the opening on the door. He kept his guard up as he walked over to the door "You bit?" He asked cautiously as he kept an eye on the ladder.

In the kitchen making breakfast for her younger sister to get ready for class her twin came in asking about the shirt he had on "Is this alright for work?" he asked raising his hands up looking at her as Alice laughed. "It's fine but change the tie." she said with a cocky smirk. Ever since their parents died ten years ago when their little sister was only three they stick together for her. Her twin rolled her eyes as he turned around a man ran up to him pushing him down on the couch as Alice panic watching the man biting at her brother's neck, with no time asking questions she grabbed her little sister as more of them came in her house. Pushing the door closed her little sister sat their crying. 'think think.." she mumbled looking up, a way to the addict, grabbing the broom she banged against the ceiling breaking it as the door started taking. Reaching about ten no hundred hands, alice picked up her sister pushing her up to the addict as she jumped pushing herself up. Once she did the door busted open as they went to grab her legs "Ah!" she screamed kicking on in the head as her sister helped pulled her up, rolling over she laid their breathing heavily. "Sister." the little girl said as Alice pushed herself up, "Don't worry.." she said looking at her, spotting her old bat in the corner she dashed over picking it up. "Shh.." she placed her finger over her lips, slowly opening the door from the addict. Creeping down slowly she gripped her hold on the bat tightly, they went around the corner as one of them jumped at Alice. Screaming she swung her bat at him hitting him in the gut before smacking at him over and over "why isn;t he dieing." one more swing this time towards his head, she managed to have enough strength to smash his head open.

Taking a new mints to caught her breath 'ok hold it together for Abby.' she thought taking her little sisters hand they head for the door. Opening it they saw dead bodies every where, people running, screaming. Eating each other? What the heck happened? Turning her head she notice her twin walking out "Hey you o.." he looked different. Cracking his neck he looked at them before charging at them. Swinging her bat it flew out of her hands "fuck." she muttered, picking up speed she threw Abby on her back, running in the middle of the street she looked around making sure nothing attacked. Slam, Alice was knocked on the ground, her little letting out a yelp as two of them creatures started eating her sister. Pushing herself up running her out but Abby yelling her for to leave Alice, frowned not wanting to leave but their was no way to help her. Taking off ass as she can, their was no way of helping them.

Krista looked up and shook her head quickly, "n-no, no I'm not bitten. Please just open the door!" she begged, her voice catching in her throat out of sheer panic. Dean looked at his gun and then at the lock before aiming it at the chain. Krista quickly pushed his gun down, "if you fire, it's only going to ricochet and kill one of us!" she shouted before poking her head back out. "It's just me and my brother-" she said to the man before hearing a noise coming from downstairs.

Daryl continued to look at her not wanting to take any chances. Hearing her tone of voice, he knew the walkers must be right on their tail. He raised an eyebrow as she heard her talking to someone else before looking down at the lock. "You need a key for this crap." He groaned and grabbed the chain before realising it was just wrapped around. He unwrapped the chain and threw it to the floor before backing away. He kept his weapon raised as he looked for any bite marks "You better be tellin the truth or I ain't gonna hesitate on killin you. Just one blow in the head is all it takes." He warned before noticing the sound of walkers coming up.

Cassy jumped as a strange man shot an arrow. Luckily, he missed ,but she already didn't trust him one bit. As he turned his attention away from her, she sighed of relief and slid down the wall of the greenhouse. She continued to keep her weapon close in case the man would aim his arrow at her again. She peeked her head out and noticed two new faces. Standing up, she cautiously made her way towards the ladder thinking she would have a better chance if she were alone. She looked down the ladder and stumbled back noticing a man climbing up the stairs. She hesitated and moved away before turning her head hearing the sound of walkers coming from the door. "You have to be kidding me.." She mumbled quietly as her brow furrowed.

Krista and Dean rushed through the door, before Dean slammed it shut. Krista quickly pulled her gun out, holding it up and aiming it at the man as Dean wrapped the chain back around. "And we won't hesitate either" she said sternly, the panic in her voice gone. Dean raised his gun warily, "we're not bitten anywhere, see?" he held his hands up and pointed to the clothing that pretty much covered their entire body. Krista moved one arm out, showing him any bare skin before holding back onto her gun. "How do we know you're not bitten?" she asked, as Dean raised his gun back up, aiming at the other person who had moved out from behind the greenhouse.

Aladdin followed up after the blonde man, reaching the top of the building. He noticed four other people on the roof, all aiming their guns at each other. He raised his hands. He didn't have anything to protect himself with. He just stood there, watching the three converse hesitantly.

Alice's feet was getting tired from running from the walkers as she turned in a small ally looking for a way up on the buildings, she had no weapon to protect herself and no one seemed to be 'human'. Spotting a fire escape but the latter seemed to be broken half way, "mother fucking.." she cursed under her breath, no use trying to find a way up their with the sound of them fucking coming close. Making her move out from the ally she continued to run finding anything, anyone, a weapon of some kind.

Daryl glared at the young girl "You gotta a lot of nerve." He grumbled and turned his attention to the man as he tried to show him that they weren't bitten. He looked back the at the girl "I would rather shoot myself in the head then let myself get bitten." He said firmly before gesturing to his clothes "Only blood stain you see here is from some skank." He hesitantly lowered his weapon and glanced at the woman that the man aimed at. He groaned as raised his weapon once again. "Now, how about we all lower the weapons?" He grumbled not liking the idea but having the weapons out seemed to lead them no where.

Krista glared back at him, "you've got to, in times like these, don't ya?" she shot back at him, continuing to hold onto her gun. Dean looked at Krista with a small frown before sighing, "fine. But one move-" he said, he wasn't going to hesitate either if someone tried to hurt them. He lowered his gun. Krista glanced at Dean hesitantly, she didn't trust this man. "Krista" Dean said sternly, making her lower her gun with a roll of her eyes. She kept her eyes on the people she didn't know, as did Dean, before seeing another man raising his hands. She quickly aimed her gun at him before noticing he didn't have any weapons. She lowered it again with a sigh.

Cassy hesitated once again seeing a man aiming towards her and raised her weapon towards him. "What are you aiming at me for?" She groaned as it came out like somewhat of a whine "I am just trying to get the fuck out of here.." She sighed but didn't drop her weapon. She glanced the other man who appeared to not have any weapons and looked back at Daryl. She hesitantly lowered her firearm and placed it on the side of her shorts. "Afraid of the living and the dead...great." She mumbled shakily to herself still not having a good feeling about any of them.

As Josh was climbing, he heard voices arguing above him. He finally reached them and saw their weapons pointed at each other. He jumped off the ladder and onto the platform to where they were standing. "The hell," he cried. "We're here to kill walkers not each other!" He grumbled and shot a look at the people before him. It was the man he saw climbing earlier, a younger man, a young woman who seemed frightened but not weak, and another young woman.

Josh pulled the backpack over his shoulder and sighed. "The name's Josh," he said, unzipping his backpack. He pulled out more water-bottles and handed it to each of them. "Thirsty?" he asked, taking a sip of water. "How long have y'all been out here?"

Making her way towards one of the buildings seeing the walkers surrounding it she ran in the other direction "fuck, fuck.." she mumbled looking up seeing people standing on the building wondering how to get their attention. Grabbing a hold of her brown hair she cursed under her breath again and again, 'no time to feel sorry, or morn over them.' she thought to herself. Running down another ally she notice a door, banging her hand on it she shout "hello!"

Daryl watched as they lower their weapons making him hesitantly lower his. He didn't hesitate when Krista raised her weapon making him raise his again. He shook his head with a groan as she lowered her once again. He lowered his weapon but continued to keep an eye on all of them. Turning his head, he noticed a man around his age. He continued to stare as he unzipped his book taking out water bottles. He raised an eyebrow for a moment before flinching as he heard a loud bang. "The hell-" He mumbled as he followed the noise. Looking down, he groaned "Trying to get herself killed or what." He grumbled not knowing how to help since they were all the way up and she was all the way down.

Dean looked at the woman and lowered his gun. Krista glanced at the man who held out a water bottle towards them. She was thirsty. She walked over and grabbed it, "thanks" she muttered before looking at Dean. He hesitated before flinching when he heard the bang. He followed the man and looked down, seeing a woman trying to get in. "Go up!" he yelled and pointed to the stairs before he shook his head. He couldn't worry about her now. He walked over and looked at the man as Krista took a sip of her water. "I'm Dean, this is my sister, Krista" he said before taking the water bottle. "Thanks" he said, holding it in his hand. He placed his gun back on his side and walked around, wondering how they were going to escape. "On the roof?" Krista looked at the blonde man. "We just got here" she said before screwing the lid back onto her bottle.

Cassy sighed of relief as she heard Josh, glad someone had some sense. Still, she couldn't trust someone right away after all that has happened. She dropped down on the knees as he offered them water and shook her head. She looked down at her leg noticing there was a small scratch making her freeze for a moment. Glancing up at everyone as they introduced themselves,she nibbled on her lower lip. "N-name's Cassy." She said quietly as she placed her hand over the cut thinking a walker might have scratched her. But in reality, the arrow Daryl shot at her cut the side of her leg a little making it look like a scratch.

Go up? how the fuck, growling under her breath she looked for another way, seemed like their was others still alive. Cocky bastards, but maybe she could find a way up. Walking further down the ally all the way down to the end their was another fire escape "another half.." on please let her days being in gymnastics payed off. Running fast as her legs could carry her she jumped up caching the end of the latter as a few walkers came towards her. "hmm." she pulled herself up grabbing handle by handle, pulling herself up on the ledge of the fire escape. Ok she was up, not where she wanted to be but it was a start. Walking up the stairs she got higher up to the next building.
